Gene Snow as born in Manchester, Conn. He became the youngest pilot in the state at age 15. He earned an aeronautical engineering degree at South Carolina State University and an accounting degree at San Jose State University. He served as pilot in the United States Navy before joining Flying Tigers in 1966. While on furlough from Flying Tigers, he joined Seaboard in 1969. He later returned to Flying Tigers before the merger.
Gene is survived by his wife of 54 years, Evelyn (Sazinski); daughters Elaine Snow and Elizabeth Gayhart and her husband Robert; and three grandchildren. Gene was predeceased by his two sisters, Blanche Pudlo and Virginia Armstrong.
