Christopher Gagomiros served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He worked as a flight radio operator for Seaboard from 1950 until 1954 when radio operators were eliminated from the cockpit. He then flew for TWA as a radio operator for three years. Christopher later worked for Grumman as an air traffic controller and later as airport manager. He retired from Grumman after almost 40 years of service to them. He also was a coach for the Levittown (NY) Red Devils peewee football team.
Christopher was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Betty (Elizabeth Petri), in 2007. He is survived by his three sons, Dennis, Keith and Eric. Christopher and Betty are seen above left on the occasion of their wedding in 1949.
