Gene Gasselle was born in Saskatchewan, Canada, the youngest of 14 children. He served in the Royal Canadian Army and Royal Canadian Air Force during World War II. In 1962, Gene married Marilyn Clancy, a Seaboard flight attendant. They were married for seventeen years, until her death in 1979.
Gene is survived by his son, David Hilbern; grandchildren Mary and Nicholas Hilbern; and nieces and nephews. He is seen here at the 2001 reunion.
