Capt. Chuck Clarke Chuck joined the U.S. Navy in 1945 when he was still a teenager. He later entered the V-5 Naval Aviation Cadet (NavCad) program and became a commissioned Naval Aviator in May 1950. He served in the Navy Transport Service (NATS), flying P2Vs, R5Ds, and R6Ds. He then joined Seaboard, beginning his 31-year airline career.
Chuck is survived by his wife, Anne; his daughter, Christine; sons Charles Jr. and Carl (an American Airlines pilot), grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is seen here with Anne at the 2000 Spar reunion in Cocoa Beach, Fla.
