Ken Dibbell was born in Waterbury Center, VT, the son of John Allen and Marion Churchill Dibbell. He was a graduate of Waterbury High School, Waterbury VT and earned an aviation maintenance certificate at East Coast Aero Tech in Bedford MA. He joined United Airlines in 1952 as a mechanic. In 1957, he was hired by Eastern Airlines and trained as a flight engineer. He joined Seaboard in 1967 and continued as a flight engineer until he retired from Flying Tigers in 1986.
In 1976, Ken and his family moved to a farm in South New Berlin, NY where he became an advocate for farm issues, especially milk pricing, and continued in those pursuits into his early eighties.
Ken is survived by his wife of 66 years, Nancy Porter Forbes; and children Kenneth J "Jack," David (Nancy K), Michael, Kathleen "Kathie" Elwood, Kendra, and Steven. All live in the Norwich and South New Berlin areas. There are 17 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are Ken's brother David (Sandra) Dibbell in Avon Lake, OH and Carol (Oliver) Plunkett in Waterbury, VT.
