Capt. William E. Headley

Capt. Bill Headley was born in Missoula, Mont. He graduated from the University of Colorado. He worked as a test pilot for Douglas and served as a pilot in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He served as a check pilot at Seaboard and retired as a B-747 captain at age 60.

Bill is survived by his wife, Natalie Sargent Headley; his daughter, Lynn and her husband, Michael Kelly; his son, Winthrop, and his wife, Patricia; and five grandchildren.
