Terry was born Harriet Wortzman in Litchfield, Connectcut, the daughter of Irving Wortzman and Estele Schneiderman. She was hired as a flight attendant by Seaboard on July 1st, 1958, 3 weeks before her 21st birthday. She and her husband, Lance, moved to the Napa Valley in 1988 and established Cafe San Marco. They spent their last years in Napa where she was known as Petra T. Selmin.
Terry was survived by her husband of 39 years, Lance; daughter, Samantha; brother, Milton; sisters Ruthy and Korky; grand-daughter, Gabriella; and nephew, David.
