Dick Simmons served in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot during World War II. He served in the European and Pacific Theatres and was awarded a Bronze Star. He served seven years and retired a Lt. Colonel. He joined Seaboard in 1947, one of the earliest employees. He served as a check pilot in the early years, and as Director of Flight Operations.
Dick is survived by his wife of 55 years, Marjorie A. Simmons, his children and their families.
