George A. Wohn

George Wohn, known as Al to some, grew up in Brooklyn where he lived with his parents and two sisters. The family moved to New Jersey where he played baseball in high school and college. George joined the United States Air Force in 1948 where he served as an aircraft mechanic in Anchorage, Alaska during the Korean War. He attained the rank of Staff Sergeant before his discharge. He joined Seaboard as a flight engineer in 1964 and continued in that capacity with Flying Tigers and FedEx.

George was predeceased in 2020 by his wife, Grace, with whom he lived in Woodcliff Lake, New Jersey. He is survived by his goddaughter Tracy Toth and god-granddaughter Krystianna.
